Pre-Aesthetic Injection Instructions
Please refer to these instructions if you are planning on having any injectable
treatment (including wrinkle relaxer/tox, dermal filler, lip filler, PRP/PRF, Sculptra,
Radiesse):
- Injections should not be done if you have been ill, had surgery or dental procedure, or received vaccine within 2 weeks before AND after appointment.
- Injections should not be done if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have neurological or autoimmune disorders, or have active infections.
- For 1 week before appointment, avoid blood-thinning over-the-counter medications & supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve, Motrin, Advil; St John’s wort, vitamin E, fish oil, garlic, ginseng, gingko biloba).
- If you have a cardiac history, please consult your doctor before stopping aspirin or prescription blood thinners.
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours before appointment to decrease bruising.
- If you have history of cold sores, start antiviral medication (Valtrex) 2 days before appointment. Call our clinic if you do not have medication.
- You may experience bruising and/or swelling for several days – please plan accordingly for any upcoming social events in the next 2 weeks.
- Hydrate well day before and day of for PRF/EZ-gel procedures.
