IUI
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is artificial insemination or a procedure for treating infertility. We take sperm that has been concentrated and washed and place them directly in your uterus at about the stage your ovary releases one or more eggs. It does take about two weeks after the procedure to determine if the treatment was successful. You will need to have a positive pregnancy test to be absolutely sure.
IUI is minimally invasive, and you do not require pain medication or anesthesia during treatment. However, you may experience s slight itching, and a little cramping as the catheter is passed through the cervix. The success rate of IUI depends on the blockage’s location on the tube.
